I love working with children! I have the ability to work with the child's weakness and strengths. I can work around how the child learns, I usually just observe first because I try to teach a child. I think its very important to see what the child's weakness and strengths are first before you try to teach them anything. I believe that all children have different ways on learning and they all have their own time on learning. I don't like forcing children to learn something they don't want to learn, I like getting the child involved in anything they are learning and getting their opinion on what we should do to get them to learn. My innovative approach to tutoring is using the Sokratic Method while transcribing the results of the process. All questioning and answering derived from this method is meticulously and clearly documented on paper and in audio (later burned to a CD) for the pupil to refer back to as study material. This is a powerful study tool after the pupil's knowledge has been scrutinized, as it helps them visualize and review their thinking and learning. Slowly but surely the pupil begins to develop better study skills and a deeper understanding of the material he/she wishes to learn. Because my method is individualized, every tutoring session generates unique material and teaching lessons. No two lesson materials are alike!
