My comments on tutoring VB.net : I taught Visual Basic and Visual Basic.Net at Remington College.
At my Company, Alpha Omega Education and Training Systems, I write
all interactive education sofware programs in Visual Basic.(12 years)

I authored a Primer on the Basic Computer Language.
Punctual - prepared and professional.
I look at learning rep. styles of students (pictorial, word or kinesthehic).
I try to make the learning experience as painless as possible (especially math).
I start with pre-tests to gauge where a student is at, then follow-up with teaching
content and finish with a post-test to gauge learing objectives that have been met.
Depending on the subject, I like to schedule 2-2.5 hrs ateach session. I also like
to work out problems for students and e-mail them the results, where applicable.
