I attempt to not only show students when a mistake has been made but teach them how to better avoid those mistakes in the future, as well as teaching them to better catch their own mistakes.
I have aided many of my friends throughout high school and college with writing, editing and general English knowledge. I worked at the Boys and Girls Club of Alachua County for 8 years where I was responsible for tutoring, mentoring, and facilitating a gang prevention class. After, I was employed at Boys Hope Girls Hope, a residential scholarship program for academically capable students. I did this position for approximately 2 years before entering into grad school this past May.
