Professional Biology Tutor/Teacher

My teaching philosophy has developed based, in part, on my experiences as an undergraduate Biology student. I routinely incorporate current scientific topics in my lectures. For example, I discuss the scientific and ethical dilemmas of stem cell research when I lecture about the development of different types of blood cells. I sometimes have students study figures and graphs and analyze what is happening in them. Essay questions are a great way to encourage students to enhance communication skills.
