The Achievement Centers, our after school tutorial/diagnostic clinic and before and after school care, is available for all ages and subjects. Tutoring and diagnostic testing is available after school, evenings (Monday – Friday) and Saturday mornings. The clinic is available year-round. Our testing clinician and school psychologist offer a Psychoeducational Evaluation to all new students. The testing is scheduled for two three hour sessions on separate days during after school hours. The evaluation consist of various test measuring a student’s cognitive abilities, processing skills, IQ, and academic levels. The evaluation will determine a student’s strengths and weaknesses, as well as how they think, reason and process information. A conference will be held with the family and/or the student. A Little Bit About Me...

As an active member of my community, in the form of pageantry, volunteering, and leadership, I have always enjoyed instructing others. I have been teaching for 25 years. I began as a high-school teacher, taught grade school and special education, and then spent 20 years as a university professor of English and philosophy. I started tutoring as a graduate student and have been doing it on and off now for 20 years.
I like working with grade-school students, but I like best a variety of teaching situations. That for me truly represents the challange of teaching. I have been fascinated with tutoring for the past three years ago. I began tutoring one of the professors at the University of IL at Chicago in a foreign language.
