Upon my decision to return to college and obtain my BS degree, it was discovered that I possessed an uncanny, natural talent involving all aspects of the studies surrounding English. Reading, comprehension, symbolism, poetry, creative writing, poise, maturitym ,ect. After that placement exam, it was decided that I did not have to take any English courses, or, I would take more advanced courses. I did choose the latter. Throughout the last 10 years, I have helped my husband, brother, all of my children, etc. I have tutored them on how to write a well developed paper on their topic of choice, and have it read showing the expertise of the writer. I possess the same talents when it comes to proper grammar. I also teach Catholisim to the 8th grade once per week for 2 hours. I prepare them for the sacrament of confirmation. Through college I worked with many students in Organic Chemistry. The first thing I teach students is preparation. Many students have a tendency to put off studying until the night before an exam. Organic Chemistry is one of the first classes where student needs to develop a study schedule. Second I emphasize the fundamental concepts. The content is too much to memorize and students become overwhelmed. Third I teach attitude. There is a point when students realize their potential. The point where "this class is too hard" turns into not being afraid of a challenge.
As an undergraduate student I was preparing for a career in Forensic Science. I have 14 years laboratory experience including 3 years at IBM's Material Analysis Lab. Besides coursework I have experience in writing lab reports and designing experiments. I have made a career out of science.
