A Little Bit About Me...

I believe in a play-based approach to teaching new concepts. My approach to teaching is to generate excitement over learning, which I believe helps cement ideas in young children’s heads. In my early literacy lessons, I play games like "The 3 Strikes Game" or "Backwards Hangman" to reinforce phonics skills. I was on honor roll in high school on a consistent basis. My best subjects were English and Writing. I attended Pennsylvania State University for Communications with a focus on English Writing and the study of Film and Media Arts.
