I love working with children of all ages and abilities and helping them with academics. I don't believe I have a specific teaching style. Most lessons can be taught in various styles but teachers are often faced with a curriculum guideline that they must follow. Often they do not have time to reteach the lesson and students begin to fall behind. With encouragement, guidance, and a new approach, many students can not only "catch up" but also stay succesful in that class. I have been employed by the Cambria Heights School District for 14 years as a Title 1 educator. I currently am involved in curriculum math and reading. My job mainly deals with helping students achieve success by developing learning skills that fit the individual needs of specific students and adapting regular classroom instruction to fit those needs.

I think it works well to give shorter lessons to a small group, and then work individually with the students. I like to encourage them to help one another if they feel confident in the subject.
