A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is a combination of serious, in-depth theory and practical examples to demonstrate such theories, all with a hint of humor, followed by significant practice of the newly learned skills. I've been "teaching" people all of my business career. I always start with the underlying theory and immediately segue into a practical example of how the principles work. I think students want to learn, but need the information presented in a way that makes learning interesting, not boring. I have that ability. I'm able to integrate relevant practical examples because I have a very broad range of experience, having been an entrepreneur and turnaround management consultant for over 40 years.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am a retired Electrical/Software Engineer. My formal education and work and life experiences provide me with a good background in math and science. I have raised three children that occasionally needed a little help with their work and have been a sports coach for various elementary level town and school teams in Fairfield.
I have three sons and have coached students in various sporting activities so I'm no stranger with working with kids. As I stated above though I don't have any professional experience and therefore it would be difficult to describe a teaching style. Given the opportunity though I will try to assist my students in learning by trying to identify and understand the child’s needs and by relating the subject material to practical applications. A method that I’ve always found more effective than just learning for learning sake.
