Learn Japanese the Fun way!

Flexible.Student oriented with games, role play, dialogue, reading and speaking.
I have taught Japanese to business professionals that had little or no background in any foreign language. I can also state that they not only enjoyed the classes but also became confident and able to commmunicate in everyday conversations whether about business or personal life. Phonics and help for dyslexic students

While homeschooling my boys, I invented new ways to teach them to read. These methods turned out to be helpful to many students. I've taught children how to read for about 5 years. I wrote a series of books to give teachers methods to teach phonics in creative ways, published through Creative Teaching Press. I've published mountains of curriculum. Formerly, I was the editor for the weekly education section for the "Denver Post." Now I am especially interested in helping children who have reading problems, particularly those who have or may have dyslexia.
Hands-on, creative, active, using senses to keep children involved, especially those with ADHD. Trained in the Orton-Gillingham method to use explicit, sequential, systematic, and comprehensive phonics, especially for children or adults with dyslexia.

My comments on tutoring Writing : I have given instruction in various types of writing in a classroom setting.

I prefer the Socratic method of asking/answering questions and discussion, but I am more than capable of diverting to a more lecture style of teaching if that is what works with the student. I tailor my teaching style to the strengths of the student.

I have also tutored many students in grammar and writing, as well as Algebra I and II.
