I am not a teacher, but a substitute teacher at a local school district. My work with the children, grades K-12 and special education has been very rewarding. Those children who are discouraged or are having a hard time, find solace working with me because I am able to instill confidence in their ability to succeed and watch them grow. Although my experience teaching is limited, I am very fond of working with those who in particular are struggling in language skills. I encourage students to see the wonder and "mystery" (there really isn't any mystery) of Math, regardless of the level, in the real world. To that aid, I try to present real world problems at levels the student can understand.
