Special Education is one of my top subjects! I have a master's degree in Special Education and I taught special education for several years. I've taught students with numerous learning needs and I believe all students can learn.

My career as a teacher has taught me the importance of extending learning beyond the classroom. More About This Tutor...

Because of my experience in teaching my own children, I have discovered that no child is too young to learn. Often people will not consider an infant or toddler a "functioning human being" until the child can speak. This is so inaccurate! I taught one of my daughters to read at age four. My teaching style is to engage the student on a personal level through cheerful conversation and sharing of interests, then to assess learning styles, strengths, and challenges. Children perform well when expectations are complimentary to them, and when they are given the tools and nurture to accomplish their dreams.

I am a firm believer that all students can achieve academic success but each in their own way.
