I have always been driven by a desire to help others succeed in subject areas that I love. Shortly after college, I began a volunteer-driven, grant-funded literacy tutoring program in two elementary schools. I have an earned Bachelor's degree in communication arts with a minor in English. I have two full years of teaching experience, and I am currently working on obtaining my PA teacher's certification in secondary language arts. I have experience in tutoring/teaching students from 1st grade through 12th grade in English, reading, and writing.

I believe in practice and examples as the clearest path to success. I don't hand deliver answers and I make the process towards answers engaging. I make sure the time and place are conducive to active and non-distractive learning. I relay the importance and relevance of the material.
