I believe each child learns in their own way. Therefore, differentiated instructional strategies are important in helping each child become as successful as possible. It is important for children to feel comfortable and motivated to learn. There is no better feeling than knowing you a part of a child's success.
I am currently in my last semester of my Masters program at St. John’s University and will have my New York State Initial certification in K-6 by May 2011.As a student teacher in the first and fourth grade classrooms, I have been able to utilize and build upon the courses taken as part of my education. I was an Aide in the resource center at Pollard Middle School in Massachusetts and interned as a floating substitute at Elias Howe School in Bridgeport. I student taught fourth grade at Stratford Academy. I was also an Aide for grades 5 and 6 and Christian Heritage School in Trumbull and taught grade six at CHS last year.
