More About This Tutor...

My interest in education comes from my personal experience. I started off as a Probation Officer after I finished College with a B.S. in Criminal Justice. I used to Sub Teach to break the monotony of dealing with crime and found teaching to be more rewarding for me. However, after giving Teaching some serious thought I then returned to School and completed my Teaching Credential Program Through Patten University in Oakland Ca. in Elementry Education. I have tutored for the past six years, primarily in math and GED prep. What I offer is new innovative ways to learn and I go out of my way to use students varities of learning styles and I try to motivate students to learn using their multiple intelligences.

A Little Bit About Me...

I currently hold a bachelor degree in math education. I have been a reading and math tutor for the Pine Bluff School District for about ten years. I have worked as a math teacher at a detention center for boys for two years. I have worked as a six grade teacher for a private school. I also have worked as a math teacher for the Altheimer Public School in which I taught such subjects as geometry, algebra, and trigonometry. I also have tutored children at my church.
I have a passion for children. I love working with children on a one on one bases. I am very energetic. I love the learning process of children. It gives me great pride to see a child graps a new learning technique. I also believe that all children can meet their highest potential if giving the right opputunities.
