How I teach depend on what the student needs most; I would never coerce anyone into a predefined tutoring rubric, as that may harm their ability to learn.
In high school I excelled in spanish to such an extent that I placed out of most of the university spanish classes. Thus, while I have moved on to learning arabic my spanish skills are honed to the extent that I plan to graduate with a spanish major (in addition to my anthropology major) by the time I finish my undergraduate work at Northwestern.

I had a 4.1 GPA throughout high school and spent half of my years in honors and AP classes. I am finishing my freshman year of college at Assumption College in Worcester, MA, majoring in Biology and minoring in Spanish. I believe that everyone can learn a second language, but it takes a lot of practice and dedication. I used to teach the martial arts when I was in high school and have adapted many of the tools I acquired there into my academic theories of teaching, such as; a high degree of patience, the "praise-correct-praise" method, and to lead by example. A Little Bit About Me...

As an undergraduate, my focus for studies in English were both Critical Literary Analysis and Creative Writing. Analytical writing was stressed heavily, giving me the ability to interpret a text based on intrinsic value. The creative tract allowed me to experiment with my own abilities while keeping in mind strategies implemented by others I have read and studied. A requirement for all English majors at the university was to have intermediate skills in a foreign language.
