Experienced high school and middle school math tutor

I have taught high school math for the past 4 years involving Algebra I and Algebra II ( at various levels) and Geometry and Pre-Calculus. I try to find an area of interest in the student and then show how learning the material we are discussing relates to that interest. It is important that they understand that learning is closely tied to their happiness in life. I find analogies to be my favorite style in making points to be learned.
Most recently I have been selected to conduct clases in math for students wanting to get their GED.
