I’m a graduate from the University of Pittsburgh (2009) with a B.S. in Business Administration. After graduation, I realized my true calling while working at my YMCA in our Child Development Center. My title was an office coordinator position, but I took further responsibilities to help out our teachers in our preschool and toddler classrooms. Along with helping out the preschool classes, I have also worked with our school-aged children. My approach to teaching is more of a "why" approach. It is more important for students to know why something is or works rather than just how. This approach works well for middle and high school students. It allows students not only to understand the ideas taught but to apply them to other areas as well.
