Working with children has always been my passion. I feel as though it is important to engage all different types of learners and to make them feel as if the classroom is a place where everyone is safe and included. I have worked extensively in the past with children that have Autism. I believe that all children, despite any disability, are capable of being successful students as long as they are given the right tools and the support that is necessary.
Coming from a family of teachers, the importance of education has always been stressed to me. My teaching experience for the past 37 years is as follows: Elementary Resource Teacher (K-6)-( pull-out services in math, reading, ELA, Social Studies, and Science), grade 6 Inclusion teacher in Math and ELA, grade 6 Math strategies teacher for sped students.
