I like teaching groups more than individual becoz group setting creates the perfect opportunity for perfecting chess (You can't be good at it without practice with the weak and strong).
I had been playing and teaching chess from Kenya to USA for more about 18yrs. Chess is a game that make enhances thinking and decision-making. Just like life do, someone else gives you a puzzle and you had to figure out away how to save the situation. Chess is for heroes thinking and leaders- You can't be a hero where there are no people. I earned my degrees in education from Ball State University. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a Kindergarten Endorsement, M.A.E. degree, and a Master of Arts degree in Special Education with minors in the following: Learning Disabilities, Mildly Mentally Handicapped, Seriously Emotionally Handicapped. I have taught at the elementary level in both general education classes and special education classes and at the high school level in special education classes.
I enjoy teaching and find it very rewarding. I believe that all children can learn and it is the teacher's role to find the learning style of his or her students and to plan lessons and activities to meet their needs.
