I have returned to college as an adult learner for a Political Science Degree. As a returning student, my experience has been much more satisfying than that of a younger learner. What I have also found in attending classes is, I am able to contribute in a very practical way to college courses because I have been in the field working for many years. I have found my writing skills have increased over time, and having practical work experience has added a great deal to what I have to offer.

I love to educate children of many ages I have a 4 year old and a 2 year old in the house. You teach many different aspects of life, not just academically. Being a tutor for grades 6-8 was different because they had the basics. They needed to be informed and focused. Substitute teaching grades K-8 was rather different because the children acted as though they haven't learned anything, so you had to make them feel comfortable. I received my Bachelor's degree in 1989 and worked as an assistant engineer in Binghamton NY until I started my masters program at SUNY Cortland. I have held Physics, Earth science, Chemistry and Biology appointments in the years that followed in a variety of School districts throughout the state.
