A Little Bit About Me...

I am a senior mathematics education major at Bradley University. I have been tutoring both high school and college students for 6 years, and have had high successes in each level of math for many different students and learning abilities. Each student has an individual learning style, and my goal is to discover that and help students learn to learn. No one has to be "a genius" to learn math, rather they must work at it.

A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated from Augustana College with a BA in Math/Computer Science and Education and Northwestern University with and MBA in Marketing and Policy and Environment. While my initial jobs were with corporations in systems, marketing, and planning, I found I used my teaching skills on a daily basis by applying mathematics and computers, doing research and writing reports, organizing and preparing plans, teaching individuals and groups, making presentations, conducting reviews, and continuing to improve my personal and technical skills. Ten years ago, I decided to become a full-time teacher and went back to school to obtain my teaching certificate in Secondary Mathematics. I have recently graduated from Iowa State University with a BS degree in Animal Science. Throughout my education I was a teachers assistant in two different classes. Along with attending college, I worked at Lutheran Services in Iowa where I provided the daily care for severely mentally handicapped young men. I have an ability to take information and teach it in several different ways
I enjoy teaching several subjects to all different age levels. I enjoy taking a difficult subject and finding the way in which it relates to the student. While in college I was a youth soccer referee in which the referee has to explain to the rules and apply them to kids ages 5-11.
