I graduated from Frostburg State University with two bachelor degrees, BS in Geography and BS in Earth Science. I have tutored students in college level geography classes for two years through the Tutoring Center on Frostburg State's campus. In addition, I developed the Geography Help Group which provided assistance to students in upper-level geography and earth science courses including, but not limited to, Cartography, Research Methods in Geography, Surface Water Hydrology, Geology, Soils, and GIS. The Geography Help Group has been successful program for two years.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have been working with preschool to high school age students since 2004. I have always had tutoring positions, whether it was for my peers in college, volunteering for the Salvation Army, or running after school programs after graduating. I am a PA certified tutor, with conflict resolution, mentor, and CERT training (Community Emergency Rescue Team). It is important to me to have a profession where I feel that I am helping other people to progress in their lives. As a recent graduate, I have the unique skill of relating to students on their own level. I love listening to their needs and assessing the situation with great care and concern. A Little Bit About Me...

As an online graduate at Kaplan University, I quickly became aware of my priorities. Students seeking help often emailed other classmates for assistance. I was often told there were very few students who responded to their emails; however, I was one of them. I earned my Associate degree through Allegany College of Maryland. I enjoyed this area of study so much that I decided to transfer to Kaplan University Online and continue my study in Business Administration with concentration in Accounting. I attended graduation in Chicago, IL, where I learned no matter what obstacles in life you face you can continue your education if your mind is set to do it.
