A Little Bit About Me...

I love to teach students that want to learn. I have a lot of experience building confidence along with building basic skills. I believe that everyone is capable of succeeding in math and science classes, and will work to teach the child how to believe in their abilities in these subject areas. I teach through examples, and tend to ask a lot of questions, making the student come up with the answer on their own. I believe that the best way to learn is to do, and once I explain a concept, we work examples until the subject is mastered.
I have been working as a tutor at the college level throughout my college experience. I worked both for the local community college and for my self as a private tutor. I am a person who love teaching children and being patient with them. I show my students how to effectively do a task and then help them to master the task so that they can independently complete similar task by adapting the same methods. I also encourage students to participate in discussions to build self confidence. I always work hard to make a difference in the lives of the students I teach.
I earned a bachelor of science degree in Mathematics and have gain full understanding of the subject. As an undergraduate, I was fortunate to be part of a Chemical Engineering mentor program where I tutored underclassmen in the fundamentals of engineering. During my graduate stay, I was TA for undergrads and lead recitation sessions to help students prepare for subject matter.
