I have a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. I love being able to help students feel comfortable with the material they are studying. I have tutored numerous times throughout college, and would like to get back into tutoring students because I find it to be rewarding. As a student who went from living in Germany and being taught that there are many ways of getting the right answer, to moving to America where everything is taught in one way, I have learned to incorporate my tutoring skills to the need of each individual student. I like teaching one on one. This makes it easier for me to explain to the student and understand them. Smaller groups also work well for me. I was a hands on student that learned through images and repetition. I believe this is a good way to learn not memorize. If you memorize you will forget, and that is pointless in the long run.
