My comments on tutoring American History : My teacher training focused on U.S./American History. I have tutored middle school students, Regents students and AP students in U.S. History.

Students being tutored one-on-one deserve lessons customized to their learning style. My sessions often incorporate some writing and topic discussion along with activities tailored to the student's interests, skill development needs and preferences.
This is my fourth year tutoring middle and high school students in History and Government. I also have professional classroom teaching experience and volunteer elementary school teaching experience. Structured yet creative Reading Specialist.

My comments on tutoring American History : My college major was History, with a concentration in American History. I have tutored middle school students, Regents students and students in AP U.S. History.

I have a strong passion for working with kids and helping them succeed and progress academically. I stride on giving my students a sense of confidence in and out of the classroom. I have worked with kids out of the classroom as a camp counselor, as well as a home tutor. I worked at a camp for kids ages 5-12 with hearing disabilities, where I created interactive fun learning activities. I have a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. I love being able to help students feel comfortable with the material they are studying. I have tutored numerous times throughout college, and would like to get back into tutoring students because I find it to be rewarding. As a student who went from living in Germany and being taught that there are many ways of getting the right answer, to moving to America where everything is taught in one way, I have learned to incorporate my tutoring skills to the need of each individual student.
