This gave me the opportunity to apply what we learned in the classroom, and adapt to a culture that learns differently than Americans. Second, I tutored a high schooler in Spanish. I used this as a tool to see how a person can still learn when they are not interested in the subject. Third, I taught English last summer in Mexico. I primarily use a question-and-answer technique. I am very adept at identifying when a student's understanding of a subject is not where it should be. I'm also an expert in using examples to explain a point. Especially when explaining technical things I can use non-technical examples to offer enlightenment. I enjoy teaching mathematics and biology. If the student is willing to learn in some fashion I can help him or her.
