A Little Bit About Me...

I am a recent summa cum laude graduate from St. Catherine University in Saint Paul MN, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in French and Studio Arts. I am currently finishing a year long fellowship at the Marchutz School of Fine Arts in the South of France where I have participated in the immersive painting and drawing program in addition to providing guidance and assistance to students. In my spare time I also tutor English and French as a second language to children ages 5-10. While attending and completing four years of Education courses at a well respected institution I was focused and driven to complete the curriculum and focus on creative lesson planning. Ten years ago, at just 14, I knew I had a calling to help others reach full potential in all aspects of their lives, and did something about it. At that time, I implemented a scheduled and drop-in tutoring program through my high school counseling center. This allowed my peers to take advantage of my assistance in all subjects. A Little Bit About Me...

I am currently involved in the public school system as a Literacy Tutor for grades k-3. I have earned a BA in Journalism and English and have decided to continue on to pursue my Masters degree in Education. I have been trained in specific reading strategies that can help improve fluency, phonemic awareness, and phonics; as well as vocabulary and text comprehension.
