I believe the best way for students to learn is by doing and discovering the material hands on as oppose to being lectured to. I like to instruct demonstrate the learning material to my students intially, but after that i prefer to have my students try the material themselves so they can see and understand what aspects of the material they dont understand. Basic Learning Skills is one of my top subjects! I have been a special education teacher for 15 years and a special education administrator for 5 years. I have worked with students that have struggle severely with learning. I am very patient and will try many techniques until children learn in their style of learning. I believe the key is to help children find the way that they learn best so they can then use that method to make learning easier moving forward.
