The most important of the factors are the subject matter and the students learning style. The learning style of the student has to be considered when teaching. I Studied chemistry at the University of Wyoming. During my years there I helped tutor many friends and friends of friends in the subjects of Chemistry, Math and Physics. Also, I worked as a lifeguard and used my skills to become a head lifeguard for a summer at a girl scout camp. In charge of the lake shore, I instructed paddling and canoeing. She and her husband had two children who were accellerated two years above their classmates. I tutored both children once or twice a week in both of their respective mathematics courses as well.

A Little Bit About Me...

I use a lot of repetition and the asking of questions to ensure that students are learning concepts. I also try to give them analogies to help them remember things. I love working with children, as the oldest in a big family, I have often served as caretaker while my father is at work. I currently have an 8 year old younger brother who I'm working with as well as one in his Sophomore year of High school. I'm helping him with algebra and pre-calc.
I've tutored kids within the inner cities of Atlanta, through a program called Emory reads. As a tutor I was responsible for helping them with their homework which included all subjects.
