A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated from the University of South Alabama with an Elementary Education degree in December of 2005. During this time, I completed my student teaching at Holloway Elementary School. During the year of student teaching, I learned to work with diverse learning styles, varying stages of development as well as a multitude of learning tools.
I enjoy working with children of all ages. It is the duty of the teacher to meet children where they are and help them develop skills in their unique learning style. Learning should be interesting; an exploration of their world. I am patient, kind and enjoy encouraging children in their potential. Every child can learn, it is my goal to give every student the best education and enrich their lives in the process.

I have worked both as a substitute teacher and as a certified teacher for around 15 years. I have taught a variety of different courses. I was certified to teach all sciences grades 7-12. However my certification has expired. I have taught both in the private and public sectors of education. I graduated a member of Kappa Delta Pi, as an international honor society. I graduated with a 3.9 G.P.A. I have also worked as a tutor many times within my career. I also worked with troubled teens as a therapeutic foster parent. I have spent many years as a graduate student and post-doctoral fellow teaching incoming students the chemistry and molecular methods involved in working in the laboratory. I have also spent some time tutoring students in chemistry here in Mobile AL. I am currently working as adjunct faculty at both Faulkner State and ITT Technical. At Faulkner I currently teach biology and at ITT Technical I teach an integrated science class which involoves physics, chemistry, and biology.
