I am very patient and encouraging with a lot of positive feedback. I design my lessons by looking at the specific needs and learning styles of my students with welcomed input from their parents and teachers. Each session is filled with very interactive activities including educational games which I tailor to meet individual needs. It is important to have engaging lessons, especially after a day at school, no matter what the age is of the student. I believe in good classroom management and organized lesson plans. I set appropriate boundaries and expect the students to follow the rules that are set before them. That being said I try to make the learning as fun as possible but organized. I also try to bring in anything that they are interested in to make them enjoy the subject they are learning. If I can find an example in life they can relate to that will help them learn something I will find it and bring it in. I love working with children and really love math.

I obtained my licensure through NCTEACH in Specific Learning Disabilities. I am Highly Qualified by way of Praxis exam. I have taught grades 6-12 in almost all disability identifications primarily math and language arts; however, have supported various other subject areas.
I believe that all students, regardless of gender, socioeconomic environment or ability, can learn and should be challenged with creative and applicable opportunities to achieve their best.
