A Little Bit About Me...

If I were to sum my "style" of teaching up, it would be "patience with determination". Perhaps my best achievment is with my wife who recently graduated from A-B Tech. Kate has always had a block toward anything mathematic. She had one course between her and graduation, college algebra! The bottom line here is that I patiently stuck through this course treatment with her to a successful completion, she completed the course and graduated with a well earned "C" or a 78%. With patience and determination shared together with the student, impediments like a dread for math can be overcome.
The civil engineering program that I successfully completed into a 4 year BS degree, was math and science intensive, with about half the courses requiring laboratory work. I have earned two bachelor degrees, a BS in Information Science and a BA in Political Science. My graduate work is in Policy and Management from the College of Information at the Florida State University. I have been a substitute teacher for Hillsborough County, Florida and a fulltime substitute for Pasco County, Florida. My continuing education has afforded me a high level of proficiency in writing and reading comprehension. I am skilled with mathematical formulas and business accounting.
