I have been blessed with professors at the university level who understand the importance of one-on-one instruction. Through the "creativity" of thoughtful instructors I have seen myself grow and develop in ways that I hadn't thought possible. Every student learns differently, and once the instructor gets to know the student well enough and is able to tailor their lessons to the needs of the student, true learning happens. Teaching isn't just about preparing a student for a test; teaching is about creating and inspiring the desire to learn within the student so that they will be learn, not just because they are forced to, but because they are thirsty for knowledge.

Consistently during grade school, high school, and college, other students came to me for help with their schoolwork and I enjoyed providing them with a new perspective, or recapping the teacher’s lecture. I will complete my BS in Biomedical Science in May 2011, with a wide range a science experience, from immunology to organic chemistry.
