I recently graduated with my Bachelors from the University of Tennessee. My degree is in English, but I have tons of experience tutoring in just about everything. The ages I have tutored most is older elementary, middle, and high schools as well as college. I can especially help prepare students for college and help them succeed in college. People have all different manners of learning information, and most people need a lot of visuals and real life experiences, especially if their first language is not English. Teachers should be able to get to know each of their students and differentiate their instruction to help all of their students. Tutoring is a great way for teachers to get to know students better and thus better address their needs with quality instruction. I have taught 5th and 6th grade ESL students for this semester, and I have taught English two summers in Korea at intensive English immersion camps.
