A Little Bit About Me...

I am certified to teach secondary mathematics and social studies by the state of OHIO. I also enjoy teaching college students and tutoring on a weekly basis. I teach for the students to learn and to enjoy the learning process. I am satisfied when I see the students are able to grasp the concepts on their own and see how the application works. I have worked with a variety of children from kindergarten to high school and college levels. I am an educator who does make a difference in my students lives and I love teaching.

I consider myself a very energetic, competent tutor who considers teaching an art. I enjoy working with students to help them achieve their full potential. In many situations, the main reason that students struggle in learning and grasping certain academic subjects is due to the fact that students suffer a major disconnect with the course textbook on the subject. I consider it my job to bridge the gap between what the text is trying to communicate and what the student is retaining from the text. In working to close this gap, I often create my own learning aids that a student can understand.
