Learning is more accessible, more meaningful, and more memorable when it happens in a fun, but results-driven environment. I believe that the content has to be relevant to the student to be meaningful, and I use my diverse work experience to demonstrate how and why new learning is important and to answer the ever-present question of "When will I ever use this stuff?"
A high school math, English, web-design, and business educator since 2002, Jeff has been selected by Frisco ISD to tutor high school students who are homebound due to illness or injury. Despite a demanding, accelerated academic schedule, during my three years at a competitive private college I voluntarily tutored underprivileged elementary students. In earning my BA in Sociology/Anthropology I became well versed on understanding people from a variety of cultural and economic backgrounds. I also have a strong background in the social sciences including social studies, history and language arts. My college major also required that I write numerous papers and helped me to develop a strong writing style, as well as a keen understanding of grammar. After moving overseas in 2004, I began substitute teaching at an elementary/middle school for two years.
