Over my 35 years of classroom instruction, I have developed a number of techniques that are successful. I am very aware that everyone learns at different levels and in different ways. I am observant and mindful of this in teaching. I have worked with children with special needs for many years. Also, teaching ESL has helped me become a strong teacher because it has made me excellent with non verbal communication. It is important to have a stimulating environment for students. I want my students to want to come to my classroom and become involved in the lessons. I believe in balance. I think it is important to have fun but also be productive.
