I have a total of 7 years of teaching experience. From 2010-2013, I worked as an enrichment counselor for the Pomona Unified School District. This job required me to create lesson plans and manage a class of 20 students for 3 hours a week, 5 days a week. As a high school student, I taught music and math to middle school kids for approximately two years. The music they learned was performed in a competitive circuit in which they placed. As an undergraduate, I served as a study proctor in my sorority from 2007-2009 tutoring in the subjects of math, science, and writing.
I believe tutoring is not only to raise children's grades, but also to make sure they understand the material so it can be applied to other principles in their future education.
