My comments on tutoring Spelling : One of my Greatest Skills

I am an Honors Graduate from California State University Stanislaus and I am knowledgeable on many subjects. I have had former experience in tutoring and I am more than willing to work with students of any age. I am proficient in English, Social Science, Study Skills, and many other areas. As an avid reader and excellent writer I am able to work with students on their writing skills at any level.
I am a hard worker and expect a similar attitude from the students I tutor. I tend to work out the problem for the student on one problem and then I watch as they go through a similar one to ensure they have understood. This repetative practice has proven efficient. I also tend to make the student practice more than the required assignments needed to be accomplished to ensure a firm grasp of the material.

Computer Tech/Geek looking to teach.

Completed small computer systems course in the United States Marine Corps in 1999. Self-taught html while in the Marine Corps. Completed Computer Networking and Hardware course at Computer Tutor in 2002. Passed Computer Hardware & Assembly course with a B at Columbia College in Sonora, CA (2008-2009). A Little Bit About Me...

Having homeschooled my children (eldest is attending a top 20 public university)and volunteering extensively in the school community, I have become familiar with a wide variety of learning styles. In college I held a double major in English/French. I am an American by birth, but my formative years were spent in the French-speaking cultures of Haiti and Martinique.
