While completing my BBA and MA degrees at Wichita State University, I worked for Student Support Services, a TRIO program located on campus. For eight years I tutored low-income and first generation university students serviced by the program. By utilizing innovative tutoring techniques, I achieved a high success rate. In fact, several of my students graduated from university with honors, a goal initially thought to be unachievable. Statistics have revealed that only thirty three percent of students graduate from university, a dismal situation to say the least. A Little Bit About Me...

Education is a key to a high quality of life. I have earned a BS in Chemical Engineering (math, science, chemistry) and a BA in Ministry and Leadership (Bible, management, essay writing). In addition, I lack 3 hours from completing a Master's Degree in Education. My tutoring experience has primarily been with students working to earn their GED. A Little Bit About Me...

I have been a pastoral minister for 25 years, have taught refugees English as a Second Language, have taught community college courses as an adjunct instructor, have taught innumerable courses within the congregations I have served, including an after school tutoring program for young children. I am competent to tutor in English (all levels), history, and social sciences and love interacting with students.
I love interacting with children and teenagers. I have worked with all kinds of students-- those who are developmentally challenged, those from different cultures (I have traveled broadly in Latin America and Europe and lived in the MIddle East - in Iran- during '07 and '08), those with behavioral challenges, and those who learn quickly.
