A Little Bit About Me...

I'm a fifth-teen year old, currently enrolled at Thomas J. Corcoran High School, where I am a sophomore I currently take IB classes and wanted to start tutoring to pass the time and pick up a little extra cash. I'm drug free and have never tasted alcohol. I try to be patient and usually am. I'd prefer to work with children still in elementary or middle school, seeing as I haven't learned everything yet. I know the basic and more to just about everything eighth grade and below. One thing I believe in with my teaching is to use a three prong method. Some students are visual learners, some are textual learners, and some are audio learners. As a teaching major, I did my student teaching during my last semester of college (in kindergarten and third grade). This was in the spring of 2008. The next fall (2008), I was a substitute teacher for 4 months and then I was hired as a preschool teacher (in January of 2009). I taught as a preschool teacher for 10 months and then went back to substitute teaching (in October 2009) and have been substitute teaching since then. These experiences have taught me how to teach a variety of grade levels (from preschool to 5th grade). My goal is to obtain a full time teaching job and want to do whatever I can until I get one.
