Chemistry is one of my top subjects!

Generally I will try to ask questions to see which specific points a student needs assistance with and make sure they understand the material on a fundamental level. I also believe that practice and hands-on experiences teach the most, so there tends to be an emphasis on working through problems step-by-step than lecturing. Ultimately I am flexible, and can change my style and routine to accommodate the students' needs.
While at the University of Tulsa I have tutored in both math and chemistry, so I have experience with those subjects in particular. Though I received a bachelors in Psychology I was also pre-med, so I was required to take several heavy science courses as well. As such I am also proficient in several biological subjects.

As a student at Oklahoma State University, I have been fortunate enough to study a vast and varied curriculum. Although I am not an official graduate of OSU, I essentially have earned all the credentials to hold a B.S. in Economics, and next spring I will graduate with a second B.S. in Mathematics. I have spent the past two years as a tutor at OSU, primarily focusing on Chemistry (General through Organic) as well as Mathematics (all levels up to Calculus, Differential Equations, and Linear Algebra). During my last year of college, I was employed by my university as a science/math tutor. During this year I was able to help students with their science problems of all levels. During my time in college I was involved in reading biomedical research papers.I was able to attract many students interested in the biomedical research field to learn how to read research papers. I was very proud of myself for this due to the high difficulty first year graduate students have reading these papers.
