Reading is the first step to a successful school career.

I have been in the child care field for over 25 years. I have 4 children of my own. I am currently attending HCC in pursuit of my bachelors degree in elementary education. I have been the director of a local child care center and am currently the VPK teacher. I am responsible for the education of these 20 children to ensure that they are ready to enter Kindergarten. I teach phonics, letter recognition, simple math, and introduce the children to science. Eventually, I became a trusted part of the school system (an honorary teacher, so to speak). They began giving me more responsibilities, concerning the children of the school.
