A Little Bit About Me...

I am not a professional teacher, but I played one in newsrooms at several newspapers. During a span of 20 years as reporter, sports writer, copy editor, section editor and editor-in-chief, I trained many new hires -- and even a few veterans -- in spelling, grammar, punctuation, comprehension of written material and in writing. I did not take graduate classes, but I did take the Graduate Record Exam. I scored in the upper 15% in both Verbal and Essay. I do not consider myself a classically trained scholar or academic. My knowledge comes from practical experience and in knowing study approaches in advance of taking standardized test.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am currently the Sixth Grade History Teacher at Williamsburg Collegiate Charter School. My responsibilities at WCCS include developing rigorous objectives for the Sixth Grade History curriculum. Moreover, I serve as a Special Education Guided Reading Instructor for eight, Sixth grade students. I am a 2001 graduate of Churchman's Business School where I earned an Associates Degree in Accounting and Finance; In 2003 I graduated from Alvernia College where i earned A Bachelor of Business Degree; I have also finished 12 of the 36 credits needed to obtain an MBA in Corporate Finance at Alvernia College. I have over ten years of Accounting experience, and currently hold the position of President at a small electronics manufacturing company.
