As a teacher you are dealing with various levels of learning as well different personalities. I believe you have to be open to what works for the individual and the classroom. Many young students do not understand why they must learn and why it is important. We as educators must show students how education applies to all life, especially theirs. I had a wonderful experience attending MSMC.I learned a wide variety of skills and techniques throughout the Psychology teachings as well as about the intriguing study of Psychology itself. There were many opportunities to examine and research philosophies and perform actual research as a team. I had the experience of learning a long side other students, however, I did tutor other fellow classmates at various times throughout my educational career in many venues.
I truly enjoy presenting people with ideas and having them gain the knowledge and capacity to gain the intended results. I have taught and mentored people within my work setting as well. My preference has always been to allow someone to think of ideas after you give them the tools they need; it becomes both productive and rewarding at the same time.

I do enjoy helping anyone write a well developed and educated paper on the topic at hand. My specific style of teaching, especially for the 8th grade, is to read the current book being used, and then present my lesson with lecture, interactive discussion and comprehension, based on the age and grade of the student. I like to put the lesson into terms that the age group can relate to, and then assign a memory technique that will teach the students to recall the proper answer by using the examples we have discussed in class. That is the same method that I use myself when I need to write a paper. I read it, analyze it, comprehend it, and then write a paper based on what I can relate it too. This technique is very effective when teaching religion, and I have taught my students to use the same technique when attending academic study.
