A Little Bit About Me...

I was a teaching assistant at North Georgia College and State University for three years. I assisted with laboratory sections of biology courses and taught them in the event of a professors absence. I provided department funded tutoring services during that time as well. I have taken the GRE and Biology Section of the GRE and received excellent scores on both tests in only one sitting. I have also coached 4H horse quiz bowl and horse judging teams for several years working with elementary and middle school age children.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have always been a very driven and accomplished student, so I feel that I should use my gift to teach others how to become great students. My goal is to work off of the strengths of the students I tutor and build their confidence so that they will have a greater desire to learn. I am an excellent listener. I am also quiet and patient. I think that the best tutors show the students how to do the work, then give them time to try it on their own. I teach students to be able to become independent learners. A Little Bit About Me...

I was a peer tutor in high school for English and Spanish. I also tutored children in Hebrew at a local temple. In addition, I volunteered as a tutor for underprivileged children in Chicago in all areas: Spelling, Reading, Writing, Math, Language, etc. for grades K-8.
I love to work with children of all ages and genders. I have worked with children who have learning disabilities, physical disabilities as well as children of all ages, races, and genders. I attempt to make learning as fun and relevant to the child as possible as every child has varying levels of understanding and concentrations. I am extremely patient and can handle anything. I like to relate learning to childrens' lives (make it about basketball if the boy likes basketball, or about chocolate if the girl likes chocolate).
