I find the most useful way to instill knowledge is to reach that place where the student sees practical value in what he or she is learning. I always knew when the moment hit by the expressions on my students' faces. The students I taught were majoring in art and culinary skills, mostly. All students can learn, but in different ways. I, for one, learn best by watching how something is done. I can read about it, or hear a lecture about it, but seeing it helps me understand the subject. This type of teaching would be done with movies, drawing or acting out the situation. In my teaching, I try to use all methods available to me to help the students learn and to use their creativity. I especially try to get students to work in groups and to share their work with each other. I find that pier groups provide the best help in understanding the subject matter. The classroom should be a learning place of activities and fun.

During my time there I did not focus on winning, but our record went from 0-7 to 7-0. I attribute this to the power of positive teaching. After I completed Loyola University MD, I went into B2B Corporate sales, where I was successful, but my passion remained with teaching. Recently I was a PE Coach at a school, and I started an after school program for tennis and golf for the children.
My teaching style is modeled after the Princeton Method, which is the way that I was taught to teach tennis. The Princeton method focuses on the positive. So instead of saying "don't skip the hesitation for a period mark", I would say "remember to hesitate in between sentences".
