Saying "can't" is a bad word to me. I like to teach my students to remain positive and never give up. Encouragement is one of my teaching styles. For tap I like to base my style according to Savion Glover, Gene Kelly, and Gregory Hines.
I have had 20 years of dance experience including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Modern, Lyrical, and Ballroom. 2 years previous to my dance experience I took gymnastics. I was a teacher's assistant at the age of 14 and began teaching by myself at age of 16 totaling 9 years. My favorite style of dance is tap and it is what I am best at.

It is most important to communicate respect and find natural ways to empower each student so that they feel good about their ability to meet the goals ahead. I encourage critical thinking and often use picture and story associations to improve memory recall. It is important to me that your child is guided to discover the right answer rather than just giving them the answer in efforts to save time. I have over 8 years of experience as an assistant trainer for AT&T training and coaching new hired employees and aggressively working with call center agents that were struggling in their day to day tasks as sales and customer service representatives. I went to trade school while in high school and studied Early Childhood Education where I had book work for half of the day and the other half of the day I worked as a Day Care Teacher with children from 6 weeks old to age 4.

My experience includes 2 years as a Youth Counselor for the City of Tallahassee (1999 & 2001).
