I have taken many courses over an extended period of time. In 2002 I entered the Surgical Technology program at Jefferson Technical College; I managed a 4.00 and missed only a couple of days. During the many testing phases of the program I stayed and helped get other students through the program, I was commended on my drive and determination to help other students, all while maintaining my grade average. I pulled down some of the highest scores in the programs history. This didn't go unnoticed, as shortly after graduation I was asked by the Dean of Allied Health and Surgical Technology Program Coordinator to come back and teach. For the past two years I have been employed as a Graduate Assistant at Morehead State University. My responsibilities as a graduate assistant included the preparation of laboratory materials, assisting professor in the lecture as well as the laboratory of undergraduate courses, tutoring students in addition to providing support in the classroom, directing students on laboratory techniques, proctoring and grading exams and other assigned materials. A Little Bit About Me...

I have formal education experience as a science teacher in both the middle school setting (2 years), and the high school setting (1 year). I also have 3 years of informal education experience that will help me connect with students. I worked as a science educator for three years at the Louisville Science Center, creating labs and demos on every science subject. Additionally, I have been a coach for 12 years, giving me the ability to motivate and break things down. My biggest attribute as a tutor will be my ability to “think outside the box”.
